It's been over 10 years since Outlander first hit the small screen, and viewers are just as engrossed now as ever.
Romantasy fans quickly fell in love with the unique plot line, which follows a British Army nurse named Claire who goes on a honeymoon in Scotland with her husband and winds up getting transported back to 1743. In the new (or, I guess, old?) era, she ties the knot with a Scots warrior, Jamie Fraser, and suddenly, Claire is torn between two entirely different men and lives.
After seven seasons of the beloved historical fiction, the Starz hit will be coming to an end with its eighth season, expected to be released either later this year or in 2026. And ahead of the final iteration, diehard fans have plenty of loose ends that need to be tied up.
So, here are the biggest Outlander questions we want answered in season 8 to finally put this story to bed.

1. Is Jamie going to die without Claire?

This first one has been looming ever since season 1 when Jamie's ghost was spotted looking at Claire's window. At the time, the spirit seemed to be foreshadowing the fact that Jamie would die and Claire would go back to her original timeline.
Yet, this never happened because Jamie was obviously still kicking in season 7. That means his ghost (and what its appearance meant) will have to be explained by the finale.
2. Is Faith actually alive?

If you asked fans about Faith's fate before the latest Outlander season, it was clear that she'd died and been laid to rest in France. We even saw Claire clutching the baby for hours.
Then, we were thrown for a loop during the finale of season 7 when it was suggested that Faith hadn't really died. So, what did Master Raymond do, and what truly happened to Faith?
3. Will Buck MacKenzie live?

There appeared to be various Easter eggs in season 7, indicating that Buck wouldn't make it. According to history, he went through the stones to return to the 20th century and died the same year. Plus, we saw him suffering from recurrent pain. These facts coupled together may mean Buck dies in season 8, but it remains to be seen.
4. What has Master Raymond really been up to?

Master Raymond showed up in Claire's dream and began apologizing for something (what, we don't know). He also claimed that she'd come to understand what he was talking about.
Is it possible that he feels guilty about the whole Faith situation? Has Master Raymond been pulling some strings that we don't entirely know about? It seems likely.
5. Are Jamie and Lord John going to bury the hatchet?

Last season, Jamie and Lord John's friendship unraveled. Claire slept with Lord John when she thought Jamie had passed away, and when Lord John later visited Claire to check on her, Jamie wasn't pleased.
The two men have had a complex relationship throughout the Outlander series, and it feels like they need to make amends during the finale season. However, their fate is in the hands of the writers now.
6. What will come of Jamie and Claire's love story?

Finally, the couple has been through a lot over the seasons, but if we know anything about TV dramas, a happy ending isn't always in the cards. Based on the books, Jamie isn't done with the military, meaning more battles are on the horizon.
So, what challenges are to come in season 8? Will Jamie and Claire be able to persevere, or is this their end?
